Overview

Take an hour's drive from Stone Town to Kizimkazi on Zanzibar's south coast for a day of dolphin spotting. Kizimkazi is home to a large number of bottlenose and beaked dolphins, beautiful coral reefs, and magnificent tropical fish.

Upon your arrival, you will receive some safety instructions on what you can and cannot do in the face of these wild animals. Then, you will board a dhow, a traditional seagoing boat, and set sail for the Indian Ocean. Looking for dolphins.

You can approach 10 or 20 meters from the dolphins. Elegant and gray, they move a lot in the water, sometimes with jumps and twists. In the past, some tourists had the chance to ride and swim with these magical animals. However, dolphins are not tame and can be shy or even elusive. Although visitors see dolphins on the majority of outings, there is no guarantee that you will be lucky enough to see them, you will still be able to enjoy two hours of navigation and admire the ocean.

You can also snorkel in the pristine coral reef and swim in the clear, warm water of the Indian Ocean.

You will return to the beach for lunch, where you can swim in the shallow waters.
